Second floor...

The construction workers are now working on the second floor of the new building. The front portion of the old faculty parking lot is now being used for these purposes. The area has been blocked off so there is no longer access to the faculty lot except through the main entrance.

And the work continues...

The work on the new building is progressing quickly and new changes are seen each day. Soon the second floor of the building will start going up. In order to facilitate this, the front section of the old faculty parking lot will be used.

The new faculty parking lot is now in use and all teachers and staff have been assigned their own spot. To keep with our global theme the three faculty lots have been named Germany, Spain and France. The Germany lot is the area on Sunset Dr., the Spain lot is the new lot, and the France lot is the remaining old parking lot. Parents are reminded not to park anywhere on Sunset as all spots have been allocated to faculty. Handicapped parking can be found in the spots between the two large trees on Sunset Drive.

Students are reminded to please be careful walking near the construction areas. Be safe! Don't cross any construction fences or roped off areas!

Please view the rest of our constructions pictures in the slideshow.

November 10

The new staff parking lot is coming along. Construction repairs in the existing building are being completed by the Safety-to-Life Department. Several classrooms have had holes sealed and the rooms painted. Other rooms have new ceiling tiles or handicap ramps put in. The cafteteria had a mini-facelift and also got painted.

Good News, Bad News:

Today the construction crew tore down the fence that separates the parking lot from the kick ball fields and put up a new fence around the construction area for the new building. In addition, the new construction trailer is in our parking lot taking up six spaces for our staff.
